Inspired by me

I really loved this Girly card and decided I needed a masculine version for the guys, so I kept the same basics, changed up the stamp and colors and came up with this.

I love this design because with a quick change of colors, sentiment and embellishments and/or ribbon it can work for any occasion. I will be playing with this more to see what else I can create.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with all that your heart desires!

One layer wonder

Lately, with everything going on around here, I have been finding myself drawn to CAS and one-layer type cards. I’m not sure why, but sometimes you just have to sit back and let your muse drive.

There are so many times in our daily life that we need a simple note card . . . for a teacher, a note to the school, a quick note for the kids, a note for a co-worker, a last minute card . . .

So these, one-layer quickies are perfect for me and will work well when a note on a piece of paper just seems too informal.

These are made with Kraft cs and versa mark ink. Quick, simple, easy and pretty.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with all that your heart desires!

Honored beyond words and a gift for my followers~

I have been terrible about keeping things up to date lately and I do apologize for that. So, to fix that, I am posting some stuff I really should have posted a while ago.

I have been blessed with 3 wonderful blog awards in the past month and just haven't posted them. So, today I am. First, I would like to say how honored I am by these awards. This third award is from Melina at Crafty Scrapper.
I just recently discovered Melina's blog. Melina has a wonderful CAS style that I truly enjoy and have drawn inspiration from lately. Stop by her blog when you can - you will enjoy her great creations.

With this award I am suppose to share 7 things about me.

So, I am going to be a slight slug and share 7 things and hope that the first 5 things count for the first award too! Sneaky huh?

1 - I have 2 dogs of my own (Pongo and Ebony - named by Shane) and Andrew's dog, Brutus. Pongo we saved from being sent to the pound, Ebony we adopted when she was a puppy and Brutus is my constant companion and the most adorable chihuahua ever.

2 - I hate shopping. Unless I am shopping for stamps and goodies. I truly have to be in the mood to shop and prefer to get what I need and be done.

3 - I have a fear of heights.

4 - I dislike spiders, but don't mind snakes.

5 - I almost quit stamping before I every really got started. My first demo had a style that just didn't work for me.

6 - I am a homebody. Andrew says I need to get out more.

7 - I try to stamp everyday, but haven't been accomplishing that lately.

Now, I am suppose to pass these on to other bloggers. I always have a tough time picking who to share these awards with because there are so many wonderful blogs out there that I just love.

So, these awards are for my followers. And if you aren't a follower and would like one or all of these awards, please feel free to help yourself.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with all that your heart desires!

Hoarded hodgepodge hardware

This is my last Sun Ripen card for a while, I promise!

I just had to color this with the Koh-I-noor pencils. Those things are addictive!

I broke out a piece of my Hodgepodge hardware which I have hoarded for a couple of years now. Why, oh why, do we do that? We find something we just must have and then hoard it, even though we know there will be something we will love better out next week.

I really think part of being a stamper includes being a hoarder to some degree.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with all that your heart desires!

Outside the zone

I’m usually not one to use bright, bold colors as a focal point on my cards, but I saw a card somewhere (sorry, can’t remember where) using orange and pinks as the main colors and it kind of stuck with me.

So, I played with my Majestic set (American Crafts from HL) and came up with this. I added a strip of double sided tape and glitter for an extra girly look.

It’s a different look than I am use to, but sometimes we just need to step outside of our comfort zone and see what happens.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with all that your heart desires!
