Immortal Love, Forever Full

I have admired the cards I see with sheet music, or book pages in the background and really wanted to play with it, but didn’t want to tear into my books and couldn’t find hymnals for a price I liked.

Then I asked my friend who works at one of the local churches what happens to the old hymnals and she told me that they just give them away if people ask for them and that they have tons of them boxed up in storage. I explained what I wanted to do and asked if I might possible get a couple of hymnals for cheap. She brought me 5 hymnals for FREE! 3 of the hymnals are the same book and the other 2 are a different book, so I have duplicates.

I made sure it would be alright for me to tear these books apart before I even cut the first page, and she assured me that it was fine and would not be sacrilegious at all.

This card used all scraps that were on my table and supplies that needed to be put away. Love when I do that!

I used my SU markers direct to the stamp for this.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with all that your heart desires!

Great idea for a way to get the sheet music, I like the images that you stamped directly on there too. I lucked up my mom found a huge stack of sheet music at a yard sale for about .50!

What a beautiful card! I love that sheet music, and the stamping you added to it! How awesome that you were able to get some hymnals for free to use like this! Fabulous card!

Beautiful. I saw a post about that topic on scs a while ago. I personally would tear into that hymnal. At least it's getting used and seen that way! Every time I come down your way, I think about getting together. I usually have the baby, though, so it's a quick in and out for what I need.
