An Update

I know I’ve been MIA, but there has been so much going on here lately that I haven’t even had a chance to get ink on my fingers, much less my stamps.

A friend’s mom gave me some wonderful KraftMaid cabinets from her house. She is turning a bedroom/office into a guest room and wanted to get rid of the cabinets. I’m thrilled to be the lucky recipient of these cabinets, but that means a craft room make over, again. A work in progress at this time, but it has forced me to go through my stuff and clean and purge.

I have also finally committed to colors for the kitchen, so that means painting and finishing up. It has taken me months to commit to a kitchen color and I am almost done with that particular project.

Additionally, a former co-worker of mine is volunteering with a group of women who have had a difficult life with addictions and other issues. At Christmas time I donated a stash of cards to these ladies. Recently, I was contacted and asked to help these ladies create invites etc for a party/open house they are having. I am thrilled that they think my work is worthy of this cause and have been busy planning, cutting, scoring, folding and organizing.

This is the card they have agreed on and will be making about 50 of next week. In addition, they will be making 75 bag toppers, and 75 silverware wraps, which I will share later on. Lots of prep work means little time to create, but these ladies are so sweet and so grateful that I simply could not say no. So, while I have been MIA, I certainly have not been idle.

This was the other sample card

I did spend almost all of Sunday home alone and in my space creating as much as I could, so I will have some posts prescheduled for this week.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with all that your heart desires!

Lucky you to get free cabinets and an excuse to re-do your craft room.

I like that you chose the "beleive" sentiment for these invitations. So fitting for the occasion.
