True confessions of a snob

I was in Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago and they had stamps on sale. Now, honestly, who among us can resist stamps? Especially when they are on sale? I know I can’t.

I found this set of American Craft medallion type acrylic stamps called Majestic for $9.99 on sale for 50% off! SCORE!

Now, I have to admit I use to be a wood mounted only kind of girl. No acrylic or polymer or bare rubber stamps for me. No way! I was a true snob. And, honestly, preferred SU to any other stamps. Ok, I admit I might have sipped some of that Kool-Aid. Then one day I saw an adorable stamp from Rubbernecker. You know they kind, those unmounted rubber ones. *gasp *! But the stamp was so cute so I just had to buy it, and a couple of others. Loved them!

Then I found some acrylic stamps at Pat Catan’s - you know how that goes. One of those just HAD to HAVE stamps. Well, after that I was pretty much hooked. I love acrylics and am thinking of unmounting my SU stamps and other wood mounted ones.

Anyway, this card was a simple one. My base is 4 x 5 ¼ to use up some more of those odd sized envelopes. I used Color Box ink in Bisque for my background and creamy brown for sentiment and edging. Rounded my corners and ta-da!

I think this will make a great sympathy type card or pretty much any other occasion. I will probably recreate this card so I have a few on hand. Like I don’t have enough cards on hand * eye roll *

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with all that your heart desires!

Great card and I'm glad you stepped over to the "dark side" of unmounted stamps. Now watch out for Michelle buying out the stamps at Hobby Lobby!

Very nice, I think this would be perfect for a sympathy card or other trying time. Love your "snob" story, I am so distracted by what image I like that I can't say the same thing. If so it might have saved me lots of money!

Have just unmounted ALL my stampscapes and chucked them into stamp keepers in the drawers and am eyeing off the rest of my scenic type ones too....they are in mortal danger...am thinking it would be lovely to have ALL the scene stuff in the one spot!...I can see this thought pattern becoming a nightmare!
