Use those scraps

I have been sick for the past 2 weeks. Every time I think I am getting better, I end up getting slammed with another round of whatever this is, so I’ve had little energy and little time to stamp.

I was straightening my room and found a ton of odd size envelopes from when I first started creating. I bought envelopes without thinking about the card size, so now I have lots of odd sizes that I have moved from spot to spot, sorted, rearranged and just refused to throw away.

With my newfound ‘use the scraps’ attitude, I decided that I would actually * gasp * USE the envelopes.

So this card base is 3 ½ x 5. I have about 20 envelopes that will use this size base.

I happen to be in Hobby Lobby and they have rearranged and fortunate for me, where having a sale. So, I bought a couple Impressabilities for 40% off and got them for a little over $4.00 each. Of course, a new toy just begs to be played with before it can be put away. So, this very simple card uses my smaller base, basic black scraps, Impressabilities, and yeah, that’s it.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful day filled with all that your heart desires!

Firstly, sending you get well wishes and I hope you feel better soon. So many of my online friends are sniffing and shivering over their computers at the moment!

Secondly - kudos for you for using up those envelopes - I know JUST what you mean. I have cards without envelopes and envelopes without cards so I must follow your example.

Loving the simplicity of your designs! Beautiful

Ooooh! I love it when I can use scraps! I do that every once in a while when I decide my "scrap bag" is getting too full...in fact, I think I should do some of that today - LOL!

Secondly, these cards are beautiful! I LOVE the simplicity of them and using up scraps (which I seem to have a mountain of!) is always good! Great job and TFS!
