A combo of many companies

When SU! announced the requirement for demos to sign and abide by the new IDA, there was no doubt that I would not sign the agreement and would let my demoship simply lapse.

I enjoy using lots of stamping products and enjoy sharing the good deals I find with all of you. I won’t rehash the agreement here, but since I no longer HAD to spend $300 a quarter on SU! it was time to explore some of the other companies out there that I have heard so many wonderful things about.

I’ve always liked that fact that SU cardstock, inks and accessories match. So, I wanted to find another company or companies that offered the same kind of selection.

I’ve heard so many wonderful things about Paper Trey and have seen many wonderful cards created with PTI. I knew I had to try their products.

I finally placed a small order with PTI. I ordered a variety pack of cs, Polka Dot Basics II stamp set and some ribbon.

First, let me just say the service is wonderful. I placed my order on Thursday night at about 10 p.m. and had my goodies in my hand on Wednesday. Less than a week from order to door! That is awesome! (It normally took at least 10 or more days for me to get an SU order)

The cs is wonderful. It’s heavier than SU’s (you can actually feel the difference) and the colors are to die for. They also work well with SU colors (some are almost perfect matches) so I have even more color options. For now I will keep using the SU cs I have and combine with the PTI. I also want to try Gina K’s CS and inks because I have heard so many wonderful things about them. I love her service, enjoy her stamps, so I’m sure I’ll be thrilled with the CS and inks too. But, that is another post all together.

So – my card – I used Gina K’s Whatever Floats Your Boat, PTI’s Polka Dot Basics II, my unknown company Monarch set, SU’s Kraft, PTI’s Raspberry Fizz and Lemon Tart. WOW talk about combing products! LOL.

Anyway, this card is a special one for the young lady Andrew is dating. She’s been having a rough time and is dealing with a lot, so I thought I cute, fun, girly card might brighten her day.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

Love all the options out there for stamps - I, too, must give PTI a shot, as I've only heard rave reviews. Great card, Michelle! I'm sure she'll really appreciate it.

I agree about the new IDA. I'm not signing mine either. Thanks so much for the info about PTI. I was curious as to what company would be comparable to SU for cardstock. Will definitely have to explore them a bit. Your card is too cute. I love the elephant!

This is cute and I like your mix of images and papers.

I'm not an SU demo but I have been a big fan of SU until recently. I just haven't been finding much of anything in the catalogs that "wow" me. So all I do restock my cardstock anymore. I think if I was a demo that I would do the same as you have. I have read the agreement and it's absolutely ridiculous to think that with all the options available these days that someone would use only their products.

Michelle,

I am not a SU demonstrator but I go to a stamp club every month that I love. But I just couldn't be a demonstrator knowing that is all I could use. I was back and forth with it. But your card came out great and I'm glad you are coming out of your "box".
