Andrew says . . .

Last week I posted 2 cards, one that was mine and one with a color combo that Andrew suggested. Well, all of those of you that loved the more mustard/so saffron card have created a monster. At last count, it was a tie between the two cards, but Andrew is pretty impressed that so many liked his color combo.

So, Andrew and I have decided that he and I were going to create a card using the same stamp set and let you see his and mine and let us know what you think.

We both used SU’s courage and both used chalks for coloring – after that we each created what appealed to us. Here’s Andrew’s card and I personally think it is pretty awesome.

It looks even better IRL. Andrew has a creating style that is all his own and didn’t keep track of his colors, so I am giving them to you based on my memory. He used I think Old Olive and Garden Green, burnt the edges with a lighter, and then used the faux burning on his image panel. His base is SU Kraft CS.

And here is my card

– mine is stamped on Kraft CS, colored with chalks, mounted on Not Quite Navy, photo corners are Real Red. I used SU’s Canvas for my BG and my sentiment is from SU’s Hero wheel.

So, what do you think? Andrew is dying to know!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

Gosh, this is a toughy! But I think I'll have to go with Andrew's for the burnt edges, too! They jive so well with the image. Great work on both cards!

They are both stunning! I would have a hard time choosing one over the other. I would have to say that I like the coloring in yours a bit more than Andrews.
Also, did you use SU chalks to color the image in? What color did you use for the face/ arms and hands. (skin tones?)

Wow Michelle they are both fantastic! I don't think I can pick a favorite. But if I had to it would be Andrews, I hope he has a work space in your craft room. I'd like to see more of his work.

I have purposely skimmed down without reading all the other comments.

Andrew...I love your faux edging. It really sets your card apart and gives that little bit of extra interest which (sorry Michelle) beats your mum. This is not to say mum's card isn't lovely...coz it is.... that little extra pizzazz wins the day.
