Autumn Harvest

I know you are all use to seeing Andrew mentioned here, but today is about my wonderful 11 year old, Shane.

Have you ever colored an image on watercolor paper (or any paper for that matter) and had your card stock warp? Try as you might, you can't get it to flatten out. I've done this before and one night while struggling with an image, fussing about and getting frustrated I gave up. I re-did the entire image only to have the paper warp again. Too much water right? Yeah, I know.

Shane saw me fussing over this and getting frustrated. He came up with the idea to run my image through my "green bug" as he called it. I tried explaining how to use the machine and how I didn't think that would help when he looked at me all exasperated and told me. . . 'No, Mom, just put the picture in there are on the piece of paper, then run it through the machine.' DUH! It was pretty clear to him! HMMMMM? Could he be onto something? Nah! He's 11 and calls it the "green bug".

Well, maybe. It's worth a try, right? Can't hurt, right?

So, I tried it - A Plate, B Plate, mounted image, C Plate and TA DA! perfectly flat!

I swear my kid is a genius I tell ya! That'll teach me to doubt him Well, I used that same technique on this image and you could never even tell it was warped before I started.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

Lovely scene you created. Nice colors. How clever your son is to come up with a solution to your problem. And what a great use of the bug.
