Wood

I saw this wood background a few places and really fell in love with it, but just never got around to using it. So, I decided to give this a try and used SU’s Backwoods.

The wood is super easy to make. I actually followed Michelle’s directions here.

I used SU’s creamy caramel, close to cocoa, soft suede and choc. chip. Then I rubbed some Tim Holtz distressed ink over the panel. I used Antique Linen and Tea Dye. Then for an added touch, I used SU’s Sahara Sand and ran the edge of the pad over the panel.

I stamped my cabin, colored with copics, then colored with my Versamark pen, added clear EP, masked the cabin, added trees, colored those then repeated the Versamark and EP process.

I added my grass using SU certainly celery and old olive. I tore a post it note for the grass line. I sponged my sky with SU Baja Breeze ad Not Quite Navy. I added a few dots with my gel pen, then mounted my panel on basic black.

Some square brads were the perfect finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!
