Winds of Grace

This card was really tough for me on so many levels. I really struggle with square cards and seldom use kraft cs, so I challenged myself to do both. This card came to me in pieces – I looked at the kraft cs for a while as a challenge to myself and browsed the SCS gallery looking for inspiration, but nada, so I called it a night and went to bed.

When I got up I could easily picture SU’s Winds of Grace with some blues and browns, but didn’t have time to play because of that place I must go every day in order to afford my addiction. So, after work, I played and this card flew together.

I used my chalks to color the water and that was about it. I used SU’s Night of Navy, Baja Breeze, Choc Chip and Kraft cs. I added some drywall tape in place of mesh, added a couple of square eyelets and some hemp twine.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

Michelle, it might not have been easy, but the finished card was certainly worth it. The larger photo shows all the rustic textures that are working so well together. The drywall tape and hemp were perfect choices, too.

This turned out very nice! I love the look of kraft, but don't use it very often. Love the blues and your eyelets with the hemp.
