God's Beauty

I must have my mojo back.

This is the inside of my card that I made using Kristina Werner’s Color Inspiration 48 - Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze and Whisper White.

I have really wanted to try my hand at a circle card lately, so I figured, why not?

My base is Kiwi Kiss with the leaves from SU’s God’s Beauty stamped in versa mark and in Chocolate Chip. My butterfly is colored with baja breeze just using my reinker and brush. I used my CAD (love that thing) and eyelets before running my ribbon through.

Now, I am really picky about any of the mechanics of my card showing, but on this card, you can see my ribbon on the inside of the card. This may just drive me crazy and I may have to find a way around this, but maybe I can let is slide just this one time.

How ‘bout you? How do you feel about mechanics showing inside your card? Does it drive you crazy? Or, doesn’t it matter?

Happy Stampin'!

Boy, I'll say you got your mojo back. This circular card is simply elegant.

As far as mechanics go, I always want the insides of my cards to be clean and neat. This must be a throwback to the days of doing crafts like silk flower arranging, when none of the mechanics could show from any angle. It's the same for my cards -- they have to look neat from any which way you open, flip, or turn them.

this is a beautiful card...(i am like you..picky and obsessive about the inners/mechanics..
the beauty of this card distracts the eye from seeing any of what you're scrutinizing..
its lovely.

This is fabulous... I don't mind ribbon showing through the inside of a card, but brads will make me go totally nuts..... I've been known to cut the arms off brads and attach with adhesive.

Love the butterfly -- beautiully coloing!

I didnt know you lost your MOJO :). This is gorgeous, I love how you made this round, and the butterfly looks like it is ready to fly off the card :).

This is so pretty and I like the round shape.

Since I mostly make card fronts that I attach to a base, I try to hide the "mechanics" there. But when I think to use brads after finishing the card and the prongs would show, I either leave it as is or just cover the backs with a scrap of paper adhered over it. I have never had a complaint from a recipient about that yet!

Beautiful card! I try to keep my insides nice, but I don't get too caught up in it.

This is so pretty, that butterfly is amazing. Love the shape of your card too. I know what you mean about mechanics showing through, it drives me crazy on my cards too.

SO pretty! Your coloring on that butterfly is gorgeous!

I want the insides of my card to be as clean as the outside. I do NOT like it when ribbon (or anything else) shows on the inside of my card. Just my personal perference...
