Eastern 2-fer

Since I haven’t been able to play in the Splitcoast Challenges as much as I’d like to lately, I decided I needed a two-fer. Since I, like so many of us, am home today with a sick child, I got the chance to play. My little one has a cough that just won’t go away and has gotten to the point that we are going to the doctor today, so I got a 3 day weekend, with a sick child.

I combined the sketch challenge SC218 with color challenge CC208 to use Kiwi Kiss, Choc. Chip and Pink Passion. Now, I love Kiwi Kiss and Choc. Chip, but I’m not a big fan of Pink Passion, so I wasn’t thrilled with the combo. But, challenges are made to make us step outside our comfort zone, so I used Pink Passion on my flowers, Kiwi Kiss on the leaves and choc. Chip on the branches, and Pink Pirouette for my base. I used SU's Eastern Influences for my image. This is another one of my sets that I just bought that was sitting on my table waiting to be inked so it would not feel unloved.

My DP is from K & Company Hannah collection. I added some dew drops for a little pop of bling.

Happy Stampin'!
