Recently I volunteered to help out my neighbor with a Girl Scouts project. As a result I had a ton of scraps that were about 3 inches wide that I just didn't want to throw away.
I happened to find Christina Fischer's instruction for this adorable note card holder here.
I made a few changes since I could not find envelopes for 3 x 3 note cards at a price I liked.
But I did find envelopes at Hollos that worked perfectly without modifying the tote. 
I used a SU dp and emboss resist for my tote, and the scraps from the Girl Scout project for my note cards.
